Under the direction of Dr. James A. Blackman, MD, MPH of the University of Virginia, Enhancing Rehabilitation Research in the South (ERRIS) is designed to provide an infrastructure that will increase the quality and quantity of rehabilitation research in the region as one of four research networks funded by the National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR). All etiologies and age groups are included although there is a relative focus on central nervous system injury and pediatric through young adult populations. Services Electronic Grant Consultation. Through the use of videoconferencing technology ERRIS faculty can give individual consultation to those seeking assistance with a grant proposal. These consultations are available at no charge.
